Lucretia Jelks is a native Houstonian, born to the parents of Wilbert D. Taylor, Sr. and Opal B. Taylor on October 12 in the year of our Lord. She was actively involved in Sunday School, BTU and the Youth and Young Adult Choir. In 1993, Lucretia was led of the Lord to join membership at God’s Word of Deliverance AFC, under the leadership of Overseer Betty J. Crowder. Lucretia has worked in various departments, such as the Audio/Visual Ministry, Praise Team, Singles’ Ministry, Sunday School, and Pastor’s Aid. She graduated high school from Waltrip Sr High and recently received her B.S. Degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Management. She currently volunteers to teach Financial Literacy for the Women’s Resource of Greater Houston, a non-profit organization. Lucretia has worked in the Banking industry for over 25 years.
